Western Instructor

The Western Riding Instructor can be a full or part time position.  Primary work hours will be in the afternoons and evenings five to six days per week.  Position will require:

• Teaching group lessons
• Schooling horses and managing/maintaining western string 
• Advising on needs for Western Program and helping acquire appropriate horses and tack, etc.
• Working with St. Landry Parish 4-H to develop Western Horsemanship curriculum
• Planning and attending clinics, shows, and events
• Preparing students for competition
• Public relations/Promoting Western program in local community/recruiting new students
• Assisting with barn and property maintenance
• Occasionally cleaning stalls, watering, etc.
• Preparing grounds for horse shows and events
